A downloadable prototype for Windows
This was meant to be a Ludum Dare 40 submission, but it's extremely unfinished at this point. I plan on continuing to experiment with this project over the next few months though, so feel free to keep it downloaded if you'd like to see where it goes.
The concept was a beat-em-up where you chose the number of hearts you wanted to go into the level with, but the more hearts you took the more "corrupted" your character became. However, if you died in a level, you would become more corrupt than if you had just chosen to go in with the max hearts, so it was all about gambling how low you could make your health and still make it through the level. I planned on putting a handful of small ending screens that you could get depending on how much corruption you ended the game with, with the best one being for ending the game with no corruption.
